![]() It is necessarily more fragmented than the first film and follows the book less faithfully than the first film. This is the second part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and continues the tale after "The Breaking of the Fellowship" chapter of the first book. It seems clear to me and many other lovers of the book, that he hasn't entirely succeeded. As far as possible he has tried to convey the story and meaning as the author intended. What he has accomplished is still impressive. But that would have been a huge and expensive project, most unlikely to find funding. Personally, I would have been very happy if he had made it into 6 films each lasting 3 hours (or more) and followed Tolkien's story to the letter. Peter Jackson has probably made /almost/ the best job possible given the limitations of time. Picking holes and making comparisons is almost irresistible if you know the book well and the thoughts, decisions and actions of Tolkien's characters are loaded with meaning for you. I suspect its greatest fans will be those who have not read and loved the book. If other people experiencing the same issue could also contact customer services then hopefully Amazon will get this fixed sooner. I hope that they fix it soon, because I absolutely love this film and the sound is magnificent usually. ![]() ![]() They also kindly have refunded me on the purchase price. I have reported this via customer service and they have said they will report it up so it can be fixed. I also tried streaming this movie on my laptop and the sound is fine on the laptop streaming version. This is not a problem with "Fellowship of The Ring" or "Return of the King", the sound is fine on both of these (and every other movie and TV show on my Fire). This problem occurs both when streaming and playing the downloaded movie on the tablet. The soundtrack and sound effects are on both channels, but the dialogue is only on the right. The Amazon version loses one star though, because of a major sound issue, namely that there is no dialogue on the left channel (listening on headphones using my Kindle Fire 10 HD tablet). This film is absolutely incredible and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is my favourite movie(s) of all time.
